Positive Art 2011 - 08 Harpist Extraordinaire

Postitive Music can be so soothing and uplifting to the soul...here is a great example of both. Deborah Henson-Conant plays her creation of Baroque-Flaminco on her beautiful blue harp along with the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra. I love this so much and will be seeing her in Tacoma, Washington at the Pantagis Theatre coming up this weekend....so excited...enjoy:

Here is a link to her site for this performance...

Positive Art 2011 - 07 I Am Number Four - SciFi

There are reasons why SciFi is so popular as a movie art form. The main ones are that it is thinking out of the box personified. The movie coming out soon called 'I am Number Four' is an example of some creative thinking with some attractive actors. Can't wait to see it..but wait there is a trailer....yay!

Enjoy!

Positive Art 2011 - 06 Swirl Puzzle

I feel puzzled lately...but it's a good thing. Puzzles keep one's mind active, healthy and swirling..especially this fun one!

Life is so much a puzzle. We only have so much time to put the peices together in a fashion that makes sense to us and creates a beautiful picture. We all create our own life puzzles or have them thrown at us to solve...don't we now? Have fun and enjoy the experience....because it's good to be puzzled, says Maria!

Positive Art - 2011 - 04 Animations to make your visions come true

You may think animations are just for children....
or you may find them to be quite fascinating as a source
of art and visual expression. Here is a short animation of
a harp piece with ballroom background.

Before beginning the animation be sure to scroll to the
end of this page and pause the background music.

Positive Art 2011- 03 - Puzzles to Exercise your Mind

Puzzles are a great way to exercise your mind and as such they are positive art. Surfing some of my blogger friends I found this puzzle. Sometimes you just have to give in and do a puzzle...or two...watch out though..they can be addictive. Enjoy the art of the puzzle...for the eye and for the mind.

Seattle has some great fireworks displays alright. Welcoming the New Year here is the Space Needle display of some excellent fireworks and music. There is even an animation of the sequence...technology is amazing. Anything this amazing has to be a positive force...so many people smiling and laughing and just enjoying!

This is a short section of the Space Needle Fireworks display (the total time lasted about 8 minutes).... until I can find a longer segment on Youtube.

This is a simulation of the Space Needle Fireworks..an animation with music added...kind of cool..technology rocks!
