Positive Art 2011 - 10 - The School Rock
You may wonder why a school rock would be positive art...but if you think about it for a minute you will see that it is a great way to share feelings of joy, reunion, graduation, memory for a lost classmate and much more. Recently I had participated in and attended my high school reunion...Foster High School. We had a rock and have had it for a long time..but I never got a chance to paint it. So I made sure this time I would. It was so much fun. A small group of maybe 15 of us got together and had a fun time doing it. The Star and Stripes were my idea but the execution was by others....using masking tape and canned spray paint. It sure looks good...our reunion was a couple of weeks ago in Mid July ...2011.....I drove by the rock and it still says '71 Rules'...I guess it must be true. Positive Art? You bet it made me feel good!!!!!
