Positive Art 2011 - 10 - The School Rock

You may wonder why a school rock would be positive art...but if you think about it for a minute you will see that it is a great way to share feelings of joy, reunion, graduation, memory for a lost classmate and much more. Recently I had participated in and attended my high school reunion...Foster High School. We had a rock and have had it for a long time..but I never got a chance to paint it. So I made sure this time I would. It was so much fun. A small group of maybe 15 of us got together and had a fun time doing it. The Star and Stripes were my idea but the execution was by others....using masking tape and canned spray paint. It sure looks good...our reunion was a couple of weeks ago in Mid July ...2011.....I drove by the rock and it still says '71 Rules'...I guess it must be true. Positive Art? You bet it made me feel good!!!!!

Positive Art 2011 - 08 Harpist Extraordinaire

Postitive Music can be so soothing and uplifting to the soul...here is a great example of both. Deborah Henson-Conant plays her creation of Baroque-Flaminco on her beautiful blue harp along with the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra. I love this so much and will be seeing her in Tacoma, Washington at the Pantagis Theatre coming up this weekend....so excited...enjoy:

Positive Art 2011 - 07 I Am Number Four - SciFi

There are reasons why SciFi is so popular as a movie art form. The main ones are that it is thinking out of the box personified. The movie coming out soon called 'I am Number Four' is an example of some creative thinking with some attractive actors. Can't wait to see it..but wait there is a trailer....yay!

Positive Art 2011 - 06 Swirl Puzzle

I feel puzzled lately...but it's a good thing. Puzzles keep one's mind active, healthy and swirling..especially this fun one!





Life is so much a puzzle. We only have so much time to put the peices together in a fashion that makes sense to us and creates a beautiful picture. We all create our own life puzzles or have them thrown at us to solve...don't we now? Have fun and enjoy the experience....because it's good to be puzzled, says Maria!

Ah....the world of cats. They are amazing creatures and come in all sizes. I often wonder what they are thinking...but how can you not think positive when you have nine lives?
